Care for Fading Embers
Velure
AZRA006

Velure is a provocative bouquet of vocals, accordian, analogue synths, guitars, bass and live programming.  Electronica in song form,; down tempo and dub style beats.
Velure's debut, Care for Fading Embers began as a collaboration between the group and Norwegian producer Erik Lloyd Wolkoff (Portishead, Cafe Del Mar, Coldplay) whose attention the band secured during a show at Sydney's legendary Hopetoun Club.  After the first few months of recording, Erik suddenly passed away, leaving the group to realize their vision alone.  The resulting album reflectsall the emotion, beauty, and passion of the long journey to its completion, and is dedicated to Erik's memory.
"It has proved an impossible task to avoid waxing rhapsodic about Care for Fading Embers.  Calling it one of the most beautiful albums of the year does not even begin to do it justice.  Please reward youself and Velure by purchasing an album that will not only ramain a faithful companion for the rest of your life, but will no doubt bring joy to your children as well.  Truly remarkable." - In The Mix magazine
